Bridge Rehab with Polyurethane Grout Injection
Leave a CommentAlthough structurally sound, this bridge had some hairline cracks that would continually drop water onto traffic below. By inserting mechanical packers alongside the fractures and injecting polyurethane grout, the seepage was able to be stopped. The polyurethane grout used in this application was Hyperflex, a single component, moisture activated material that is NSF 61 approved for contact with potable water. Hyperflex is manufactured by SealGuard, Inc., and the instillation was performed by grouting contractor Sub-Technical, Inc.
