Stormwater from a parking lot was going through the joints of this detention pond riser. Polyurethane grout was injected to stop the unwanted infiltration. The polyurethane grout that was used was Hyperflex, manufactured by SealGuard, Inc. Hyperflex is a single component, moisture activated grout that is NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 approved for potable water. The grouting was performed by Sub-Technical, Inc. After the grout is cured, the excess and injection packers can be removed and patched over with concrete for aesthetic purposes.
Although structurally sound, this bridge had some hairline cracks that would continually drop water onto traffic below. By inserting mechanical packers alongside the fractures and injecting polyurethane grout, the seepage was able to be stopped. The polyurethane grout used in this application was Hyperflex, a single component, moisture activated material that is NSF 61 approved for contact with potable water. Hyperflex is manufactured by SealGuard, Inc., and the instillation was performed by grouting contractor Sub-Technical, Inc.
